Tickets for the 2014 Women's EHF FINAL4 will go on sale at the end of February ©European Handball FederationFebruary 13 - Ticket prices for the 2014 Women's European Handball Federation (EHF) FINAL4 in Budapest have been announced, with the cheapest coming in at 9,900 Hungarian Forint (£26/$44/€32).

The two-day event, due to place at the Papp László Sportaréna on May 3 and 4, will see the continent's top four female handball clubs battling it out for the inaugural title.

Tickets, which are valid for both playing days, will go on sale at the end of this month, with category one tickets costing 34,990 Hungarian Forint (£92/$155/€113), category two coming in at 24,990 Hungarian Forint (£66/$110/€80), category three priced at 17,990 Hungarian Forint (£48/$80/€58) and category four at 9,900 Hungarian Forint (£26/$44/€32).

"We are convinced that this event will be a great success in its first year," Jean Brihault, EHF President, said.

"Handball has a huge following in Hungary and we know that this first event will attract fans from across Europe.

"We're looking forward to a fantastic atmosphere in Budapest in May."

Peter Vargo, managing director of EHF Marketing, said the continental governing body is expecting "huge demand".

"Just look at second leg of last year's final in the Women's EHF Champions League when there were 15,000 requests for tickets," he added.

Eight teams will now contend for the four slots at the EHF Final4 by competing at the Women's EHF Champions League Main Round, which will take place between February 1 and March 16.

Defending champions Győri Audi ETO KC are in Group Two with three former winners - Slovenia's RK Krim Mercator Ljubljana, Montenegro's Budućnost Podgorica and Norway's Larvik, while Denmark's FC Midtjylland, Macedonian side WHC Vardar SCBT Skopje, Sweden's IK Sävehof and German Thüringer HC are in Group One, with the two top ranked teams from each group qualifying for the FINAL4.
