The Convention is due to be held next April in the Antalyan city of Belek and will consist of 1,500 leading representatives from across the international sports world.

The objective of the week-long event is to offer the "international sports community an annual occasion to gather together in an exclusive and authoritative networking environment".

It will encompass congresses and general assemblies of more than 100 International sports federations, with sponsors, host and bid cities, architects, sports lawyers, broadcasters and organising committees also to be present to discuss key issues affecting the industry.

UK Trade and Investment is offering 18 packages available for British companies to be part of the "UK Pavilion" which will help give them an "enhanced profile" at the Convention, it is claimed.

These benefits will include access to meeting areas, corporate promotional opportunities, a dedicated space to display literature and inclusion in the UK Pavilion, plasma screen presentation, as well as a company profile within the UKTI dedicated event brochure.

Places will be allocated on a first come basis subject to a broad mix of UK company service and product areas being covered - with companies that have not previously participated with UKTI particularly welcome.
