Felix Arnold has been elected as the new President of the German University Sports Federation ©TwitterNovember 27 - The German University Sports Federation (adh) has elected Felix Arnold, a trainee teacher from the University of Göttingen, as its new President


It is the first time in the history of the adh that it has elected a student to its top role.

Arnold will serve for two years and has promised to help modernise adh.

In addition at the Assembly held at Ruhr University Bochum, Roland Joachim from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences was re-elected for another two-year term as treasurer while Sebastian Sdrenka from Clausthal University of Technology also retained his position as head of competitions. 

A number of new Board members were also appointed, including Jörg Förster from the Free University of Berlin to head up public relations and marketing, Moritz Mann and Kirsten Stegemann, both from Lüneburg University, to oversee the departments in charge of education and equal opportunities and human resources respectively.
