November 6 - A delegation from the International University Sport Federation (FISU) travelled to South Korea to help Gwangju 2015 prepare its IT and media systems ahead of the Games.
Following last month's inspection, FISU media director Dejan Susovic, along with FISU IT consultant Mirjana Cvijanovic, travelled to the city for a two-day meeting concerning the preparations for IT and broadcasting during the 2015 Universiade.
The meeting was arranged to check over specific systems relating to these two fields, including the accreditation system, arrival and departure system, Athletes' Village services, accommodation management system, and other systems that are part of the Total Integration Management System (TIMS), and to give professional advice where needed.
The visit also gave Gwangju 2015 the opportunity to seek in-depth expert advice on the production of an international signal for the Games and the selection of a host broadcaster, both of which were highlighted as key areas for early preparation during the inspection in October.
"We are very happy that we have been able to open the line of communication with Gwangju and FISU will continue to give its full support in any aspect for the success of the Gwangju Universiade," said Susovic.
Secretary general of Gwangju 2015, Kim Yoon Suk, also expressed his gratitude for the duo's expert advice during their visit."
