More than 1,650 athletes and their accompanying team members from 45 nations will compete at next year's Paralympics, vying for 72 sets of medals in biathlon, cross country skiing, ice sledge hockey, wheelchair curling and alpine skiing - which will include Para-snowboarding for the first time in Games history.

Event ticket prices include all taxes and public transport access, and cost between 350 rubles (£6.70/$10.80/€8) and 1,500 rubles (£29/$46/€34), while tickets for the Opening Ceremony are priced at between 700 rubles (£13.40/$21.50/€16) and 5,000 rubles (£96/$154/€115). 

Russian citizens and foreign nationals with official residency can purchase tickets from Sochi 2014 and authorised resellers, and these can be collected from the main ticket offices in Moscow and Sochi when they open in November.

Russia-based buyers will receive a souvenir ticket with a unique design if they are ordered before November 1, and tickets bought before this date will also be eligible for delivery.

International fans can buy tickets through authorised resellers, appointed by their country's National Paralympic Committee (NPC), as well as via the Sochi 2014 website and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) ticketing agent eVenture zone in a select number of countries.

During the Paralympics - which will take place on March 7-16, 2014 - tickets will be available for collection from main ticket offices and ticket offices at competition venues.

Ticket buyers will also need to apply for a Spectator Pass in order to attend the Games, consisting of the ticket holders personal data, which has been introduced in an attempt to minimise queuing for venues.
