September 14 - American Sean Rash leads the men's WBT points listWith just two events to go until the World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA) World Bowling Tour (WBT) Finals take place, Americans dominate the top of the points list, with Sean Rash and Kelly Kulick leading the way.


Six-time Professional Bowling Association (PBA) Tour title winner Rash leads the men's standings with 562 points, ahead of Australia's United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Masters champion Jason Belmonte on 527, with another American Mike Fagan sitting in third spot on 516, while Mika Koivuniemi of Finland is fourth with 498.

Rash, 31, has been a consistent performer during the WBT, which is based on a continuous two-year cycle, and includes some events from 2011 and all events from 2012 in addition to the 2013 events.

In that time the man from Alaska won the 2012 PBA Tournament of Champions to claim the second major title of his career following his 2007 USBC Masters win, while also bagging the WBT Kuwait Open back in March of this year.

With the top three from the men's and women's standings going through to the end of season WBT Finals, it is still all to play for in the men's competition.

In the women's standings it i an all-American top three with 2013 Cali World Games silver medallist Kulick sitting on 597 points ahead of Liz Johnson on 555 and Missy Parkin on 514, with these three well ahead of Shannon Pluhowsky on 367 points.

Kulick and Johnson have been battling it out for top spot throughout the WBT, and despite being ahead of Johnson in the rankings, Kulick lost out to her rival in the final of this year's US Women's Open in Ohio in July, which saw Johnson claim her third major crown.

However,with double points awarded for the event, Kulick's 80 points kept her on top of the rankings list.

Next up on the WBT is the Colombia 300 Vienna Open, due to place in the Austrian capital from September 30 to October 6, before the final regular tour event of the year, the WBT Thailand event in Bangkok from October 14 to 21.

The venue for the WBT Finals has yet to be finalised.
