Jiří Berger secured the win for the Czech Republic at the Ice Sledge Hockey Tournament Four NationsAugust 28 - The Czech Republic handed hosts Russia a 2-1 defeat in a penalty shootout as the second day of action at the International Ice Sledge Hockey Tournament "Four Nations" came to a close at the Shayba Arena in Sochi today.

Goals from Jiří Berger for the winners and from Nikolay Terentyev for Russia saw the game end in a tie after overtime.

But Berger found the net once more during the penalty shootout to take the match from the hosts, who remain winless at the event.

Norway, the team who upstaged Russia yesterday, were not so lucky in their game against current world champions Canada, who won 5-1 today and remain undefeated at the tournament, which is the sport's Sochi 2014 Paralympic test event.

Dominic Larocque scored twice for Canada, with goals also coming in from Billy Bridges, Marc Dorion and Derek Whitson.

Audun Bakke scored Norway's solitary goal of the game, while Corbin Watson recorded four saves for Canada and Kristian Buen stopped 23 shots for Norway.

"Well, we started out pretty good and then we felt down in the middle of the second period," Bakke admitted.

"And then they took us.

"Our goal for this tournament is to get good experience and take it from here."

The Four Nations tournament continues tomorrow with the Czech Republic facing Norway and Canada taking on the Russians.
