The new website, ITTFNorthAmerica.com, will provide a central presence for North American table tennis, providing players, officials and fans the latest news, results, calendar, multimedia services and more.

ITTF-North America have also invited potential host cities and organisations to bid for top events, including the next three annual North America Cup tournaments and also the three upcoming North America Championships events, as well as the qualification tournament for the Rio 2016 Summer Games.

ITTF-North America President Bruce Burton spoke of his excitement at the potential future of table tennis in the continent.

"The launch of the ITTF-North American website, along with the opening of bids for top-class events from 2014-2016, provides the basis for exciting staging of table tennis in North America," he said.

"I am optimistic that many will see the possibilities and that a spirited bidding process will ensue."
