Charlotte Dujardin-Valegro at CDIO RotterdamJuly 9 - British double Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin and her horse Valegro have returned to the top of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) world dressage rankings after securing a 13-point lead over Dutch rider Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival.

Dujardin became the first Briton to take the number one spot in the world rankings in September last year after her historic performance at London 2012, where she won individual and team dressage golds, and reclaims the position with 2,912 points after victories at both the Grand Prix and the Freestyle to Music at the recent CDIO 5* Rotterdam.

German Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage champion Helen Langehanenberg, also a London 2012 silver medallist, and her horse Damon Hill NRW are in third place with 2,802 points.

Edward GalEdward Gal moves up one place to fourth position in the FEI world dressage rankings

Olympic bronze and triple World Equestrian Games gold medallist Edward Gal of the Netherlands and his most recent mount Glock's Undercover are up one place to world number four with 2,518 points, while Langehanenberg's London 2012 teammate Kristina Sprehe and her horse Desperados follow just one point behind in fifth place.

Sweden's Tinne Wilhelmsson-Silfvén and Don Auriello; German Isabell Werth and Don Johnson FRH; Swede Patrick Kittel and Watermill Scandic HBC; Italy's Valentina Truppa and Fixdesign Eremo del Castegno; and Anna Kasprzak of Denmark and Donnperignon complete the dressage world top 10 line up.

Meanwhile, Austrian three-time Olympian Victoria Max-Theurer, who is daughter of Moscow 1980 champion Elisabeth Max-Theurer, was the biggest mover in the latest rankings as she and August Old jumped from 49th to 12th place thanks to victories on home soil in the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Special at CDI3* Achleiten and her performance at CDI 4* Aachen.
