SS2014 Logo1June 4 - The International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) have confirmed that the Securing Sport conference will take place in Doha next year, following the success of the event earlier this year in the Qatari capital.

The conference was attended by over 400 top sporting delegates, including Qatar 2022 World Cup general secretary Hassan Al Thawadi and Lord Stevens, chairman of the ICSS Advisory Board, who were among those discussing best practice in securing the integrity of sport.

Mohammed Hanzab, President of the ICSS, said: "I am delighted that the fourth edition of Securing Sport will take place in Doha on 6-8 April 2014 and I look forward to welcoming the world's leading experts in sport, security and integrity to Doha once again.

"Securing Sport 2013 was an unprecedented success around the world and with many major sporting events taking place next year, including the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Securing Sport 2014 will be a unique forum for leading international bodies, organisations and businesses to share knowledge and best practice and to discuss current themes on the sport security and integrity agenda.

"It will be a must attend event for anyone who is truly passionate about sport."

The ICSS claim that last year's conference reached an audience of 233 million worldwide, totting up an Advertising Value Equivalent (AVE) of $5.6 million (£3.65 million/€4.3 million).
