The Netherlands will defend their crown in the women's and junior events as France, led by world singles number two and doubles number one Stephane Houdet, look to retain their men's title and current holders Israel battle it out with seven other nations to keep hold of their quad title.

The Netherlands will go into the event - considered the wheelchair tennis equivalent of the Davis Cup and the Federation Cup - as the men's and women's top seeds, but they will be without the now-retired Esther Vergeer, who quit the game in February this year after a decade without defeat.

The women's team will consist of Vergeer's successor, Aniek Van Koot, the current world singles number one, along with the top-ranked doubles player Jesse Griffioen and Sharon Walraven.

Their hopes in the men's tournament will rest largely on the shoulders of world number four Maikel Scheffers, who is joined by world number five Ronald Vink and Rody de Bie in the Dutch men's squad.

Men's singles world number one Shingo Kunieda leads the Japanese men's side also containing Takashi Sanada and Takuya Miki, who are seeded third, behind France's strong four-man squad of Michael Jeremiasz, Nicolas Peifer, Federicc Cattaneo and Houdet.

Britain are seeded in fourth as Scottish up-and-comer Gordon Reid is joined by Marc McCarroll and David Phillipson in their men's squad. 

Sabine Ellerbrock, Katharina Kruger and Bianca Osterer make up the German women's team that are seeded second, ahead of the British team of Paralympic doubles bronze medallists Lucy Shuker and Jordanne Whiley, who are joined by Louise Hunt.

Japan are the fourth women's seeds, and they have confirmed their two-member team of Yui Kamiji and Miho Nijo.

The United States are seeded first for the quad event with their team of world number one and three respectively, David Wagner and Nick Taylor, joined by Greg Hasterok and Bryan Barten.

Defending champions Israel name Noam Gershony, Shraga Weinberg, Patrick Ben Uriel in their second-seeded squad as third-seeds Britain select Jamie Burdekin, Antony Cotterill and Adam Field.

A total of 52 teams from 28 nations will compete at the tournament in the five events, which are the men's world group 1 and 2 and the women's world group, which all consist of 12 teams, and the quad and junior events which consist of eight teams.

Regional qualifying events were held for only the second time in the competition's history in Kenya, Turkey and the US, which saw men's teams from Canada, Greece and Nigeria, and women's teams from South Africa and Spain secure their places at the tournament.
