As part of the deal with the conference, which takes place on March 18-19 in Doha, BMW - also the Official Automotive Partner of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics - will provide a fleet of 60 luxurious cars, including the X6, X5, 7-series and 5-series models, for transporting the guests in Qatar.

Securing Sport 2013 will bring together more than 400 international experts and stakeholders to discuss sport, safety, security and integrity under the theme of "Advancing the security and integrity of sport to safeguard the future" in the Qatari capital.


Among the high profile speakers and leading figures already confirmed for the conference are secretary general of Qatar 2022 Hassan Al Thawadi, chair of the Interpol Integrity in Sport Steering Group John Abbott and special advisor to the secretary general of the United Nations (UN) Wilfried Lemke.

Officials from Brazil 2014, Rio 2016, the International Cricket Council, the Premier League, the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and the UN are also confirmed to attend.

The BMW partnership is with the Doha-based Alfardan Automobiles, the official BMW group importer in Qatar, and its general manager, Mohamed Kandeel, welcomed the deal saying: "BMW is a premium brand with a long and proud association with sport across the globe.
