Poland were on the receiving end of an 11-0 mauling by hosts Japan on the opening day and they will nothave taken any comfort from their performance today as they were once again over-run by a superior British side on day three today.

Matthew Clarkson was the star for Britain, netting a hat-trick to lead them to victory inas Gary Farmer also found the back of the net on two occasions, and Karl Nicholson, Ian Warner and Tyler Christopher all scored a goal apiece in a dominant display.

British goalkeeper Robin Gaze had just three shots to save, but it was a slightly busier day for his opposite number Andrzej Mlynarczyk, who saved 33 of the 41 shots that came his way.

In the first game of the day, Estonia secured a semi-final clash with Japan, defeating Slovakia 2-0 through second period goals from Kaido Kalm and Ivar Liiv.

The scoreline is perhaps not a fair reflection on Estonia's dominance however, after they recorded 24 shots to Slovakia's 6 en route to their win.

The teams will have a rest day tomorrow before Poland face Slovakia for fifth place on Friday (March 15) in the first game of the day at 10:30AM local time, with Great Britain facing Germany in the first semi-final at 2PM and Japan take on Estonia in the other semi-final at 5.30PM.

The gold and bronze medal matches will be played on Saturday (March 16) with the two winners of Friday's semi-finals and the winner of the bronze medal match going through to the Paralympic Qualification Tournament, with places at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics on offer.
