This long-term partnership will give the Summer and Winter Universiades comprehensive television coverage on an international basis across the channel's pan-European network.

Eurosport will also produce a monthly television show called CAMPUS dedicated to the World University Championship events.

The multi-media partnership is completed with the creation of a dedicated university sports section on Eurosport.com which will include the latest results, sport news and videos about the World University Championships and Universiade events.

This section will be launched initially in English and French by the end of this month.

The new deal will cover the Summer Universiades in Kazan 2013, Gwanju 2015 and Tapei 2017 and the Winter editions in Trentino 2013, Granada 2015, and Almaty 2017. 

Eurosport and Eurosport 2 will broadcast 60 hours in HD for each Summer Universiade and 40 hours in HD for each Winter Universiade.

A total of 94 of the medallists at London 2012 had previously won medals at the World University Games. 

Gold medallists at the last Summer Universiade in Shenzhen last year who went onto repeat their success at London included Turkey's Aslı Çakır Alptekin, who won the 1500 metres.

CAMPUS will be a 26-minute teleivison show, broadcast on a monthly basis until December 2017 and will cover the World University Championships, organised by FISU and follow preparations for the Universiades, feature profiles and interviews with the Universiade athletes and explain FISU's values and university spirit.

The first show is due to be broadcast on Eurosport on September 26 at 21:00 CET and will include a special focus on the FISU Gala, which took place recently in Kazan.
