martin and_scott_sinclair_03-07-12July 2 - Britain's seven-a-side Paralympic football star Martin Sinclair will be joined by his brother, Scott, after Stuart Pearce named the Swansea forward on his Team GB football squad for the London 2012 Olympics.

Central midfielder Martin (pictured above, left) is two years older than his brother at 25, and can celebrate Scott (pictured above, right) joining him after Pearce revealed his squad at Wembley Stadium.

Scott looks likely to be a key member of the first British men's football team to compete at the Olympic Games since 1960.

He was named in a squad which features his Swansea teammates Joe Allen and Neil Taylor, who defied the Football Association of Wales (FAW) to compete at London 2012.

The FAW is against its players competing in the Olympics for Britain, fearing it threatens their independence as a football nation.

Ironically, Martin's hero, David Beckham, provided the major talking point of the selection, as he was surprisingly left out by Pearce.

Martin (pictured above, left) got involved with the seven-a-side team through a family friend, the Blackpool manager Ian Holloway.

He will be aiming for glory in the Paralympics weeks after Scott and the rest of the Olympic team vie for gold.

They will face a tough task to compete with the likes of Russia and Ukraine, the latter of whom beat them 8-1 at Beijing 2008.

Britain finished bottom of their group in China four years ago, taking only one point from a draw with the Republic of Ireland.

Martin is not the only star on the seven-a-side team with Premier League links as key player Michael Barker played alongside Wayne Rooney at the Everton academy as a youngster.
